Chicago Foot Work/ Hip Hop Intensive Workshop May 4th
Tyler Weathersby has always loved dance
even as a child but didn’t get deeply into dance until 2007
when he was 14 years old. During Tyler’s early years of
dancing starting in a style called Chicago Footwork, Tyler
gained most of his experience entering battles on Chicago’s
south side with a well known battle group in Chicago that he
was apart of named HaVoC. During 2008, his first year of
training in Hip Hop inspired him to devote himself to pursue
the art of choreography after being inspired by many
choreographers in the industry, and the level of difficulty
on learning so many different styles and grooves in Hip Hop
has grown his love for the culture, leading him to add this
genre to one of his main dance styles. Over the course of 7
years Tyler has trained intensively in Chicago Footwork and
Hip Hop attending classes and workshops at local studios in
Chicago,IL and Atlanta,GA in all styles of Hip Hop. Tyler
has also spent his training in Hip Hop and Contemporary at
Gallery 37 performing arts school in Chicago,IL.
